Repair Policy

  • Montbell is proud of the products we produce, however, regardless of how careful you are, normal wear and tear and accidents occur damaging your favorite gear.
    Montbell will be happy to repair them at a reasonable rate. If Montbell inspects and acknowledge damage caused by manufacturing defects, Montbell will repair or replace the product under our warranty policy. For customers residing in Japan, please expect a 6-8 week turnaround. For international customers, please expect an 8-10 week turnaround. Please make sure all items are clean. Any dirty items returned for repair may be refused or subject to a mandatory cleaning fee.

  • Returning within Japan

    1. Provide a completed copy of the Repair Request Form.

    3. Use a prepaid and traceable form of shipping; "Collect On Delivery" returns will NOT be accepted.

    Returning from outside of Japan

  • Shipping Method:

    Pack and seal your return securely, and include a completed Repair form.

    *Montbell is not responsible for returns lost while in transit. We recommend that you consider insuring each item and shipping your package via a courier with tracking capabilities.

    *Please note that shipping charges for products returned are not refundable.

Warranty Policy

  • What Montbell's Warranty Covers

    Montbell's warranty covers all defects in materials and workmanship to the original owner for the lifetime of the product. If Montbell inspects and acknowledges damage caused by manufacturing defects, Montbell will repair or replace the product under our warranty policy. This warranty does not cover damage(s) caused by accident, improper care, negligence, alterations, or normal wear and tear. Damage(s) not covered under warranty will be repaired at a reasonable rate. Please expect a 6-8 week turnaround for customers residing in Japan and 8-10 weeks for international customers. Please make sure all items are clean. Any dirty items returned for repair may be refused and or subject to a mandatory cleaning fee.
