  • I placed an order online and used a freight forwarding service as my shipping address. I am having some trouble with my order, can Montbell help me out?

    Please DO NOT use freight forwarding services when placing your order. If there is a problem with your order, we are UNABLE to help resolve any issues. Furthermore, once the package has been delivered to the shipping address provided, Montbell's policy is that the transaction is complete and we are no longer responsible for the delivery of the order. Also, if you are located in a country we do not ship to, we will not be able to help with returns, exchanges, or warranty isuues.

  • What should I do if an item in my cart cannot be shipped to my country?

    Once you have proceeded to Check Out and have filled out the Billing & Shipping Information, the webpage will highlight any items that cannot be shipped. Please remove the item(s) from your shopping cart by clicking the Remove Button.
    Your order detail will be updated accordingly.

Sales Tax / VAT / Import Duty

All international orders exclude Sales Tax, VAT, Import Duty, and any other applicable fees upon import.
Recipient of the order is responsible for all Sales Tax, VAT, Import Duty, and any other applicable fees.
Gift orders are also subject for duty depending on the country.

Cancellations

To cancel an order after receiving the product.
Please use the Return & Exchange Form and follow the Return & Exchange process.

Preparation
1) Provide a copy of your Receipt (Invoice)
2) Provide a completed copy of the Return & Exchange Form.
   *If you have lost your Return & Exchange Form, please download the form.
3) Products must be unused and in its original condition with the hangtags still attached.
4) Use a prepaid and traceable form of shipping; "Collect On Delivery" returns will NOT be accepted.
   *If you do not have the original purchase documentation, or if you have any questions regarding the return process, please contact our Customer Service Department int@montbell.com

Purchase Agreement

I hereby accept full responsibility for any damage or harmful results that may occur as a result of or from the product purchased through this online shopping site of Montbell Co., Ltd ("Montbell"). I understand that I am relinquishing the right to sue Montbell (including any of its affiliates, manufacturers and distributors; hereinafter the same shall apply) and the right to receive any compensation should damage to life, limb or property arise from the purchase or use of the product or otherwise from the purchased product, irrespective of whether the product is used properly or improperly. I hereby acknowledge and agree that all products created, manufactured, or distributed by Montbell are created, manufactured or distributed based on and in accordance with Japanese law (and/or the law of any other country of dispatch) and that such products may not satisfy the local standards or requirements of my jurisdiction and that all of such products are offered on condition that their purchasers and users accept full responsibility for any ill effects, damage or costs which the purchased products may cause, and I hereby waive any rights against Montbell I may have in respect of such ill effects, damage or costs. I further agree that all disputes, controversies or differences which may arise between me and Montbell, out of or in relation to or in connection with the purchase or use of the product, or which otherwise arise from the purchased product, shall be finally settled by arbitration in Tokyo, Japan in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association, and that the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) shall be final and binding upon me and Montbell.

*In order to prevent credit card fraud, Montbell may contact the credit card's representative in Japan to confirm the cardholder's identity. In some cases, the representative is unable to confirm the cardholder's identity if their credit card was issued overseas. If the cardholder's identity cannot be confirmed, it is Montbell's policy to cancel the order and contact the cardholder via email.

Sales Tax

Montbell collects and remits sales tax in all applicable regions. If the destination region imposes a sales tax we will collect and remit as instructed by the government.
