Revised for Fall/Winter of 2019, the Multi Trouser Pants are taking a slightly different approach moving forward. We envision the Multi Trousers being a pant capable of tackling a variety of alpine pursuits. The inner gaiters have been eliminated and we made other tweaks to the size of the pants to reduce weight by 200 grams. Although the edge gaurd hasn't been replaced, it has gotten smaller and we now see it protecting your pants from missteps with crampons. Still made using Montbell's original waterproof breathable fabric DRYTEC®, we've incorporated a little bit of stretch and some slight articulation to make it somewhat more pleasant when slogging through knee deep snow.

About the material: Ballistic nylon

Ballistic nylon is one and a half times more abrasion resistant than other similar weight fabrics and boasts three times the tear strength of nylons that are almost 20% heavier. Because of this, Ballistic nylons have allowed us to reduce the weight of many of our products by more than 50% without sacrificing the durability. We create Ballistic nylons by heating and stretching nylon fibers. Much like Tensiled steel, this process aligns the nylon molecules in each fiber, dramatically improving the strength and stamina of the fabric.

Available in different lengths at one waist size

Compared to regular models, the short model (-S) has a 6cm shorter inseam and the long model (-L) has a 6cm longer inseam.
(For size "S", only long is available and for size "XXL" only short is available). 13 different sizes for men and 11 to 12 sizes for women are available.
