These children's spats are for protecting against rain or snow when playing outside or trekking. The upper fasteners use a flat tape around the calf area, to prevent them from digging into the skin, and to provide a comfortable fit. The rear portions open fully, making them easy to put on. Even after your children begin to grow and their rain pants become shorter, you can use these spats to make their pant lengths appear longer.
