    This page applies to purchases made via the online store. Please contact customer service regarding purchases made at our retail locations.

  • Montbell is proud of the products we produce, if, for any reason, you decide that the product(s) you ordered does not fit or is not exactly what you desire, we will take it back as a return or exchange.

    This clause excludes returned items that have been damaged, washed, or worn. All items will be accepted at Montbell's discretion.

    *Factory Outlet purchases can be exchanged for product(s) of equal or greater value but cannot be returned for refund.

    For Japan shipments, we will accept returns within 7 days of Packing List date.
    For International Shipments, we will accept returns within 60 days of Invoice date.

  • Product Condition

    Montbell will only accept unused product(s) in its original condition with the hangtags still attached.

    • Returning within Japan

    1. Provide a copy of your Receipt (Invoice)
    2. Provide a completed copy of the Return & Exchange Form.
        *If you have lost your Return & Exchange Form, please download the form.

    3. Product(s) must be unused and in its original condition with the hangtags still attached.
    4. Use a prepaid and traceable form of shipping; "Collect On Delivery" returns will NOT be accepted.

    *If you do not have the original purchase documentation, or if you have any questions regarding the return process, please contact our Online Shopping Team.

    Returning from outside of Japan

    1. Provide a copy of your Receipt (Invoice)
    2. Provide a completed copy of the Return & Exchange Form.
        *Purchases made via Alipay CANNOT be exchanged. Refund Only.
        *If you have lost your Return & Exchange Form, please download the form.

    4. Use a prepaid and traceable form of shipping.

    If product(s) was purchased from one of our international partners, please contact them directly.

    *If you do not have the original purchase documentation, or if you have any questions regarding the return process, please contact our Online Shopping Team.

    Shipping Method

    *Use a prepaid and traceable form of shipping; "Collect On Delivery" returns will NOT be accepted.
    Pack and seal your return securely, in the original box if possible, and include a completed return form and a receipt (Invoice).

    *Montbell is not responsible for returns lost while in transit. We suggest that you consider insuring each item and shipping your package via a courier with tracking capabilities.

    *Please note that shipping charges for products returned are not refundable.

    *Returns must be marked "Returned Item" on the invoice.
