Montbell Card Program (International)

Membership

As a Member, you'll be entitled to the Montbell Rewards System. With the Montbell Rewards System, Members accumulate points with every purchase you make through Montbell's websites and Montbell stores located in Japan, America and Switzerland. These points will then be redeemable as product discounts applicable to future purchases.

There are also shops, hotels and tourist attractions located in Japan, America and Switzerland that have partnered with Montbell to provide services and benefits to our Members. These “Friend Shops” have different benefits and services, differing from shop to shop. Examples can range from a discount on merchandise at a store or a free cup of coffee at a restaurant or cafe.

Newsletters and Event Information

Members may also receive occasional e-mail newsletters covering a multitude of topics ranging from market trends, to new Montbell product information, company news and upcoming events at Montbell stores.

The Fine Print

  1. The Montbell Card program is maintained for the benefit and participation of individual members only. Only individuals are eligible for membership, and each member may maintain only one Montbell Card. Duplicate memberships and/or Montbell Cards will be subject to cancellation and only the member named on the account will be entitled access to personal account information.
  2. Montbell expressly reserves the right to establish additional means of accruing points, to delete any or all of the means currently recognized, or to exclude specific types of transactions from the accumulation of points.
  3. Points are nontransferable and points earned in two or more different accounts may not be combined to redeem any award. After a product is obtained by using your points, the product cannot be exchanged for cash. The product, however, shall have the same warranty terms as products purchased via traditional means.
  4. Points accrued shall be subject to expiration twenty-four (24) months after the last account activity. In cases where points are for any reason removed from an account, such as for the redemption of awards, and then later returned, the return of the points to the account shall not count as account activity. All points subject to expiration will expire the last day of the twenty-fourth (24) month after the last account activity in the member's account.

How to receive a Montbell Card

Receiving a Montbell Card is simple. When you make your first purchase at the Japan English website, America website or Swiss website, just follow the prompts when checking out. You can also sign up at our stores in America and Switzerland, where staff will guide you through the necessary steps.

How the Montbell Rewards System Works

Point Accumulation

Members are entitled to accumulate points with every purchase at Montbell stores and through the online shops.

The Member must perform all purchases in order to accumulate points and points can only be applied to the individual Member's account. Points will be accumulated only after the member's official enrollment date, as points will not be retroactively applied.

For every purchase made on full priced Montbell products, you will receive points at the rate of the region where your purchase was made. For example, Members earn 5% on purchases in Japan, America and Switzerland.

Point Redemption

Points will only hold redeemable value through Montbell stores or through the Montbell websites.

Only Members are eligible to redeem their accumulated points in the Montbell Rewards System, and a Member may not redeem points for the utilization of services (e.g. shipping charges).

Every point that is accumulated by a Member will have a redeemable value in each region. For example, one point is worth JPY 1 in Japan, $0.01 in America and CHF0.01 in Switzerland.

SHOPPING FROM WITHIN JAPAN

If your billing or shipping address is located within Japan, you can purchase products at this website as a Montbell Club Member or as a guest.

CAN I RECEIVE A MONTBELL CARD IF I LIVE IN JAPAN?

Unfortunately, you cannot receive a free Montbell Card when making a purchase on the Montbell Japan English website if your billing address or shipping address is located within Japan.
You can become a Montbell Club Member, however you will need to register for membership in Japan and then create your log-in ID and password.
